The first SAGE Farmers Market was held on New Year’s Day 2013 at Riverside Park, Moruya. Since that first sunny Tuesday afternoon, the market has established a reputation as an authentic and respected farmers market.
When you buy something at the SAGE Farmers Market, you can be confident that the person you’re buying it from either grew it, harvested it or made it. That’s what makes a farmers market different. There are no middle-men, no wholesalers and everything was grown and made within our local area.
You can find all your fresh food needs on Tuesday afternoons at Riverside Park: fruit and vegetables, dairy, meat, fish, bread, honey, olives, preserves… even fresh flowers for your table and seedlings for your vegetable garden… and more.
In February 2015, the market opened its online shop, the SAGE Farmers e-Market. Now you can order and pay in advance, then pick up from the market at a time that suits you.
Meanwhile, SAGE, the organisation behind the market, is continuing to work hard to revive the local agricultural and horticultural heritage of our region through training, mentoring and supporting more new growers.

From its original inhabitants, the Bugelli-Manji tribe, to bushrangers, the Gold Rush and beyond, Moruya has a rich history filled with the colour and romance typical of Australia's early days.
