Dear Art Groups, Artists, Artisans and all creative practitioners,
The Eurobodalla River of Art in 2013 was an outstanding success. A dramatic 20% increase in the number of visitors to our shire during this ten-day festival was shown up in our statistical data. Most of these visitors came from the ACT, Regional NSW and Sydney. Of these visitors more than 17% spent money on the purchase of locally made art pieces.
The committee of the Eurobodalla River of Art is working hard to further promote South Coast art in 2014 (16 – 25 May, 2014). We are hoping to attract even more visitor numbers to our event to showcase the extraordinary talent in Eurobodalla.
We would love every art group, artist, musician, poet, writer, sculptor and so on to fully support our “home-grown” grassroots festival in 2014 and to further develop its potential to bring in tourist dollars into our local economy and more importantly to spend $s on The Arts. By combining our creative skills and talents we can achieve great things. To this end, there are a number of simple things that you can do.
Promote yourself and your particular art form by “Liking” our facebook page and share your art interest with our growing arts community (place images of your art form on the page)
We look forward to, together, achieving the best possible outcome for The Arts in Eurobodalla in 2014.
