Information sessions for commercial property owners, real estate agents and people considering a business start up.
Renew Eurobodalla is a program aimed at revitalizing vacant commercial and retail spaces by filling them on a temporary basis with creative enterprises and businesses. The project has run successfully in Newcastle and other towns with the following benefits.
• Streetscapes have been improved as empty shops are filled
• Premises which have been vacant for some time find permanent tenants quickly as both the premises and the precinct are more attractive when being used
• Creative enterprises that have been considering opening up a shop get the opportunity to test their product in the marketplace.
Eurobodalla Shire Council has scheduled information sessions about Renew Eurobodalla featuring Marcus Westbury, the founder and Creative Director of Renew Australia. Mr Westbury will explain how the Renew model works, provide examples of how it has been used in other areas and the benefits of being involved.
Three information sessions will be held as follows:
Batemans Bay Soldiers Club – Wed, 2 July, 11:00am – 12:00pm
Narooma Golf Club – Wed, 2 July 3.30pm – 4.30pm
Eurobodalla Shire Council Chambers, Moruya, Thurs 3 July, 8:45am – 9.45am
From its original inhabitants, the Bugelli-Manji tribe, to bushrangers, the Gold Rush and beyond, Moruya has a rich history filled with the colour and romance typical of Australia's early days.
