SAGE are currently conducting a survey to gauge whether people would support a farmers market in Moruya. If you haven’t already filled in the survey then please take a moment and click on the link below and tell us what you think. Hopefully it will focus consumers attention on buying fresh local produce and possibly encourage more people to have a go at producing quality food.
The Saturday morning Moruya Country Markets at Riverside Park are a huge community asset for Eurobodalla. The markets have a number of stalls that feature local produce as well as produce from further afield.
There is a strong movement Australia-wide for farmers markets which offer only locally grown food (like vegetables) and locally value-added food (like processed meats, poultry). SAGE is interested to find out what you think about having a farmers market in Moruya.
From its original inhabitants, the Bugelli-Manji tribe, to bushrangers, the Gold Rush and beyond, Moruya has a rich history filled with the colour and romance typical of Australia's early days.
