We need volunteers to help launch our major initiative in Moruya to try and end the use of plastic bags in shops.
The chamber’s “BYO Bag” project is using the momentum of Woolworths’ end to single us plastic bags.
An important aspect of the project is consumers talking to consumers about plastic, offering alternate options to plastic, showing why we need to cease the use of plastic bags, ideas on how to remember to BYO bag. We need your help as a volunteer on an info stall.
The info stall will be located at a number of small business locations and Woolworths Moruya.
With at least one other person on the info stall you will talk to consumers about the BYO Bag Moruya campaign, help consumers with suggestions on how to best “BYO Bag”and give away free multi use bags and information brochures.
The stall will run for two weeks, from Tuesday 17 July to Saturday 28 July.
If you can help please call Coordinator Janice Sagar 4474 2242 or Jude Manahan 0427 744 999 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to hearing from you !
From its original inhabitants, the Bugelli-Manji tribe, to bushrangers, the Gold Rush and beyond, Moruya has a rich history filled with the colour and romance typical of Australia's early days.
